An audio-visual alchemical synthesis that revisits John Cage's use of chance operations, exploring perpetual transformation within nature, voice, music and visual elements. Created and performed with Elisa Faires at the Black Mountain College Museum’s {Re}HAPPENING 12.

created by sarah morrison, the captured bird ensemble re-works selections from the fireside book of children's songs by by marie winn and alan miller. the beautiful, psychedelic illustrations by john alcorn inspire new themes and melodies on classic folk songs such as "all the pretty horses" and "aiken drum". the ensemble features violin (sarah morrison), cello (matt davis), and two voices (alisha erao and anna wallace).


ancient milk

former avant-pop project of alisha erao and math erao. ancient milk released 3 albums under bleeding gold records between 2011 and 2013 while cycling through a range of sounds. The duo decided to take a hiatus in 2015 to focus on their respective solo projects.

OUR TRAIL: Performances on the Pinellas Trail is a project of the New Music Conflagration (elizabeth a. baker), Dance Linkages, and the St. Pete Dance Alliance, with support from the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. alisha erao's original score was created in collaboration with dancer helen hansen french for the performance of "dialogues". the piece features three singers and three dancers expressing the reflective experiences we find while sitting on benches in a park.
